David Chrisinger is a writer, teacher, and public policy educator dedicated to helping new generations of leaders use their voices to shape the communities they call home. He earned his master’s degree from the University of Chicago, where he now leads the Harris Writing Workshop and teaches courses on persuasive writing, trauma-informed policy storytelling, and emerging tools like generative AI. David has worked in the U.S. government, for nonprofits, and in higher education, supporting students, researchers, and public service professionals in turning complex ideas into meaningful change. He also leads a national writing seminar for veterans and military families and has published several books on storytelling and policy communication, including Public Policy Writing That Matters, Because Data Can’t Speak for Itself, and Stories Are What Save Us.
