Galilea Sejas-Machado is a passionate advocate dedicated to empowering the Latine community through education, civic engagement, and social justice. She is pursuing a Master’s in Public Administration at American University and serves as a Graduate Assistant for Fraternity and Sorority Life, supporting culturally based Greek organizations.
As National Program Coordinator for LULAC National Educational Service Centers, Inc. (LNESC), she facilitates and coordinates initiatives that empower Latine student leaders, expanding digital literacy programs and supporting the Washington Youth Leadership Seminar to foster civic engagement.
Galilea drives advocacy in reproductive justice with the National Latina Institute for Reproductive Justice, voter accessibility as a Spanish Language Election Officer, and
first-generation student mentorship with VALHEN’s Hispanic College Institute. She also amplifies marginalized voices through media activism as a Creative Designer for Chi Upsilon Sigma National Latin Sorority’s Media Team and a Social Justice Workforce Member.
Previously, she co-founded and co-led the Hispanic Latine Leadership Alliance at George Mason University, uniting 12 Latine student organizations in community-empowerment.
Recognized with the Community Engagement Distinguished Quill Award and Mason Trailblazer Award, she remains committed to uplifting Latine voices. Outside her work, she prioritizes well-being by embracing nature through biking and hiking, centering restoration in outdoor spaces
