Jesus Manuel Rendon-Silva Jr. is a first-generation Mexican-American born and raised in Phoenix, Arizona, dedicated to advocating for policy, civic engagement, and mentorship. As a senior at Arizona State University’s Barrett, The Honors College, he is pursuing a triple major in political science, philosophy (morality, ethics, law), and international relations and national security. A first-generation Latino student, Jesus is deeply committed to uplifting underrepresented voices in policy and leadership.

His extensive experience in government and public affairs includes internships with the White House’s Office of Presidential Personnel, Senator Mark Kelly, Senator Kyrsten Sinema, and the Arizona State Legislature. Additionally, he has worked with major organizations like Walmart’s Federal Government Affairs team and EPCOR’s Government Relations department, focusing on policy research, lobbying, and legislative analysis.

Beyond his policy work, Jesus is passionate about empowering students. As director of civic engagement for ASU’s Undergraduate Student Government, he has organized large-scale initiatives to increase voter participation and hosted impactful discussions with Latino policymakers. His leadership extends to serving as president of Lambda Sigma Upsilon Latino Fraternity, where he fosters mentorship, community service, and advocacy.
