Advisory Board Member - Mary Ann Gomez Orta

Mary Ann Gómez Orta serves as President and CEO of the Congressional Hispanic Leadership Institute

She brings over two decades of corporate leadership from Coors Brewing Company, McDonald's Corporation, and the Pharmaceutical Research and Manufacturers of America, with expertise spanning corporate strategy, public affairs, and community engagement.


A Presidential Leadership Scholars Program graduate (2025) and recipient of the Hispanic Lobbyist Association's Raíces Award, Gómez Orta serves on the board of the Hispanic Association on Corporate Responsibility and advises Global Americans, the American Latino Veterans Association, and Hispanas Organized for Political Equality.


She holds a B.A. in Communications from the University of the Pacific and an M.B.A. from St. Mary's College of California, and has been honored with the Distinguished Public Service Award by the Pacific Alumni Association and the Distinguished Alumni Award by St. Mary's College of California.


The daughter of parents from Michoacán, Mexico, and Brownsville, Texas, she was raised in California's Central Valley, where her family's commitment to education and service shaped her leadership philosophy.
