Miroslava Becerra Garcia is a government relations coordinator at the American Immigration Lawyers Association where she supports the government relations team through administrative tasks and some policy support. Prior to joining AILA, she served as a political appointee for the Biden-Harris Administration working directly for former Secretary of Commerce Gina Raimondo and General Counsel Leslie Kiernan. She graduated from the University of California, Berkeley in 2023 where she received her B.A. in political science and minored in global studies. Currently she is studying for the LSAT with the goal of applying to law school by the end of this year. Her interest areas are political philosophy, international trade relations, emerging technology, and global migration patterns.
